We’ve written a few times about how creating the ideal Facebook post — or any piece of content, actually — is both an art and a science. There’s even some data to help with the science part of the words you share. Hat tip to the team at the consulting agency No2Pen for putting together this chart that considers data about how people read content on the web so that we can all create content that our audiences want to read.

Some tidbits:

• Web Writing TIP: Your content should get to the point asap! Your audience gives you just10-20 seconds to impress. [Tweet this]

• Content FACT: 80% of visitors to a website or blog read only headlines; 20% read the body copy. [Tweet this]

• Web Writing TIP: 79% of website and blog readers scan content; using bullet points, bold formatting, etc. helps guide them. [Tweet this]
